Celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival with Handmade Traditions at Zhiyou Park

To celebrate traditional Chinese culture and enrich the daily life of enterprises and employees in the park, Zhiyou Park hosted a Dragon Boat Festival folk handicraft experience on the afternoon of June 16 at the second-floor atrium. Partners from enterprises across the park were invited to gather together and enjoy the festive atmosphere through hands-on cultural activities.

The event was themed “The Fragrance of Zongzi, the Warmth of Community” and featured several interactive experiences inspired by Dragon Boat Festival traditions, including zongzi making, mugwort hammer crafting, and pitch-pot games. Through these activities, participants were able to experience the charm of traditional customs in a relaxed and engaging setting.

During the zongzi-making session, participants folded bamboo leaves, filled them with glutinous rice and ingredients, and tied them carefully with strings. Each handmade zongzi carried not only the festive spirit of the season, but also a sense of connection among the park’s community members.

The mugwort hammer crafting session was also well received. Participants wrapped, tied, and shaped mugwort and other materials into handmade wellness hammers, symbolizing health, peace, and good wishes for the festival.

The event also featured a traditional pitch-pot game, allowing participants to experience an elegant recreational activity from ancient China. The light-hearted interaction added more fun and laughter to the celebration.

This Dragon Boat Festival handicraft experience offered park enterprises and employees an opportunity to experience traditional culture up close while strengthening communication and interaction within the community. Moving forward, Zhiyou Park will continue to follow its concept of “Work Behind Closed Doors, Live Life Beyond Them” by organizing more warm, engaging, and community-oriented activities, creating a more vibrant and connected environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.
