In this romantic season, the air is filled with tenderness. On the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, we celebrate China’s “Qixi Festival,” also known as the Qiqiao Festival, the Double Seventh Festival, or the Daughters’ Festival. Since ancient times, it has been a day full of love and beautiful meaning.

Origin of Qixi

Qixi originates from the legend of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl. According to the tale, they were separated by the Milky Way, and only once a year—on the day of Qixi—could they reunite on a bridge formed by magpies.

This ancient story carries people’s longing for true love and conveys their wishes for reunion and happiness.
